Neptune Fountain
Neptune Fountain is a fountain in Gdansk and was erected in 1633 in front of the Artus Court.
He goes back to a proposal of Gdansk Mayor Bartholomew chess man who had decided under the impression a trip to Italy, with a monument in honor of the sea god Neptune to decorate Danzig. The Neptune figure comes from the sculptors Peter Husen and Johann Rogge; the fountain itself was designed by Abraham van den Block, who had made all stone carvings (basin, bowl and column). The iron lattice-work dates from the 1634th.
